If you like big puppies, be prepared to fall in love ~ meet Dane! This hunky boy joined us from a busy shelter after being surrendered by his family because they did not have time for him. It's a shame that more people don't do their research and understand the time a puppy, or any dog, requires before adding one to the family. Luckily, Dane has gotten a second chance to find a loving family who will be committed to him for life, but many awesome dogs don't get that chance.
Dane is just about a year old and is reportedly a Pittie/Great Dane mix. We can't be sure, but judging from his size and weight of 87 lbs he is a mix of cuteness and some type of very large breed. He likely is not done growing quite yet, so he is going to be one big mushy lovebug! Dane is a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to new things, but once he warms up he is a total puppy still. He loves to run and play and still has that uncoordinated puppy-like goofiness where his legs seem to move faster than his body. Too cute! He is a little mouthy when he gets excited and wants to play with his people, but listens very well and his foster family will start working on teaching him that's not appropriate right away. Dane also likes other dogs and seems to have short bursts of energy before tiring out and relaxing for a nap or cuddle.
If you are looking for a big hunky, affectionate, goofy boy, make sure you check back to see if Dane could be the one for you!
