Wandering the streets is not a safe place for cats, but that’s what Danny’s former people allowed him to do and eventually he was picked up by animal control. Going from freedom to a small cage was tough on Danny, but his laid-back personality kept him from becoming anxious. He focused on his cat friends who volunteered at the county shelter. They made sure to give him plenty of time and attention. Human affection is very important to Danny so he cherished every moment he received. One day, his volunteer friend opened his cage door, picked him up and introduced him to the intake team of Our Pal’s Place. Danny enjoyed the new affection he received and returned it with purrs and nuzzles. “Will they get me out of this shelter?” he pondered as his ears were being scratched. Though most cats don’t like to travel, Danny was thrilled when the cat carriers were brought into the room. “Yep, I’m outta here!” he purred. Arriving to the Pet Adoption Facility of Our Pal’s Place, Danny was a bit nervous at first, but when he saw the other cats coming out of their carriers, he decided to brave it. Now Danny enjoys the cat trees and especially the cat treats. As he lounges in the sun beaming through the Cat Room window, Danny daydreams of having his very own person who he can greet at the door and receive an abundance of affection from … and maybe some kitty treats too!
