My name is Dante and I am a 2 year old handsome blue boy. I came into rescue after I was picked up running loose in the town I lived in and my owner would not pay the fine and take me back.
I am a very nice boy with a lot of energy so I will need a home that will exercise me. I already know some commands: sit, down and shake. I walk pretty nicely on lead and I have done well with dogs close to my own size. No dogs under 50 pounds are recommended for me because I get excited and energetic and I would just mow them down. I have not been tested with cats at this time.
I ride nicely in the car and just look at my big smile! I love life! I just hope I get adopted into a family who will keep me forever and be responsible for me. I’d like to learn more things and go to an obedience class as well. I am ambitious and ready to learn more!
UPDATE: This boy is very special. He makes friends easily with people and dogs more his own size. He just wants to play and be loved. He is a joy to be around! Just look at his happy face - that says a lot!
UPDATE #2 : His foster mom says he is very willing to please and is a very loving boy. He knows "sit", "down", "Stay" and "Come here". He gets along with the other two Dobermans in her home: a male and a female. He is a great dog!

All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted.
We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes.
In most cases we require a fenced yard.
We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason.
Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
