Amber eyes, gentle face and sleek, dark coat highlight this handsome 2-year-old, who is 60 pounds of sweetness. Having spent his entire life chained all day, every day, Dax is finally breathing free in his foster home. A quick study, he’s learned that to earn a treat, he must "sit" and "lie down", as well as "sit and wait" before eating. He enjoys the company of the other dogs, playing tag and wrestling with one in particular, although he’s still learning to play ball. He loves water, the sprinkler, and rides in the car with his nose out the window. New to making human friends, Dax adjusts easily, leaning against all welcoming legs for attention and affection. While he sleeps well in his crate, he now sleeps with the others as part of their pack. Excellent on leash, he thrives on long walks, and would make an excellent jogging partner. The ideal home for bright, loving Dax will have a large, fenced yard (no cats, only older children, perhaps a medium to large dog for company), and active, loving adopters, committed to catching him up on all he’s missed, while keeping him both mentally stimulated and physically satisfied.
