She came to us as a wee puppy very shy. She was found living in the desert near coyotes and was completely unsocialized. She is now 9 months old (as of Sept 2016) and about 35 lbs. She is still shy and scared of people but she is coming out and interacting with other pooches, which helps a lot. She becomes much less scared once she gets used to a person. Any new home needs to be prepared to deal with such a shy pup.
Needs at least one doggie pal and we are suggesting human kids over 10 pls.
If you will email an application, it helps us get to know you and your family better so we can make good suggestions for a successful adoption. Let us know what you want and expect from your dog and what you will be giving to your new pal in terms of time, activities and your level of training. We know our dogs well and there's someone for everyone!
We can set up a meet 'n greet any Fri, Sat, Sun from 10 am to 3 pm at our Apple Valley sanctuary, or other days of the week by appointment. It's loads of fun!
Are you my furrever family?
For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs! No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!
