Special needs female golden-oldie!
Dolly came to Grand Strand Golden's a few weeks ago.
Dolly is about 10 years old and has a few obstacles ahead of her...mammory tumors, erlichia (a painful tick-born disease), and an enlarged heart...but despite those, she is doing GREAT!!! She runs, plays, and eats like a horse! She is having a great time in foster-care and is looking for a family of her own to love for the remainder of her life. Her foster dad says she is simply "fantastic", had he not adopted the last foster, she'd never leave!
She is house and crate trained and loves to play.
Do you have room in your heart and home for a golden-oldie? Being a hospice foster/adopter is a very special time, it does require a big heart and lots of love. Dogs only live in the moment, so we'd like to see Dolly's last moments being loved and living well. Her foster would also like to see her live out her days with that kind of love. She needs more out of crate time and that she would only get in a loving home.
Update from her foster mom: "Sweetest dog ever! Dolly has had a rough life but is enjoying being treated now like the princess she is...despite her health issues she is loving getting lots of attention. Dolly may be a senior dog but she plays with our other dog like she is a puppy! She deserves her own home for her remaining years."
