Donnie (along with companion Marie) came to the shelter as strays; but since he was microchipped, his owner was contacted. They did not want to pay his fine and relinquished him to the animal shelter. This began his new life! We are almost certain that he has spent almost all his life in a cage or kennel. He is working very hard on his house training and with supervision is accident free. As long as he is kenneled at night along with another dog, he is quiet till he hears someone stirring in the morning. He wants to be with his person constantly, loves to lay beside us,and ignores the other dogs in his foster home. Due to his flinching at fast movements, we will not place Donnie in a home with young children. Our ideal home would be together with Marie (if possible) and with a family or person that is retired and home daily.
