Doolie is looking for a very special adopter who has experience with the English Bulldog breed.
Doolie joined the rescue from a local owner who could no longer care for him. Once in his foster home, it was clear that he had some health issues that we needed to address.
Doolie was diagnosed with a platelet disorder (ITP - Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia) and your typical Bulldog allergies. He also has a fractured molar (tooth) and Screw Tail; unfortunately, because of his other health issues, surgery is not recommended.
Doolie will require medication and a special diet for life. These are added expenses that any interested applicant should consider, and consult their vet about.
Aside from all of this, Doolie is a loving and energetic pup. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, and loves everyone he meets.
He didn't have really good manners when he joined, including rough play and jumping to greet strangers, but he has been doing very well with training.
Doolie hasn't really mastered good play behavior yet - he is very mouthy and rough. The smaller dogs in the home are very overwhelmed by him.
A home with no cats is needed, and a home with few stairs would be good for him.
Do you have the home and heart for this special boy?
