This is sweet little Ducky. Ducky is a 3 year-old Border Collie/Terrier mix and weighs a mere 25 pounds. He is super sweet and very playful. He was abandoned at a shelter with no hopes of adoption, and that is when EAPL was contacted. Of course we couldn't say no to that adorable face. Ducky has special needs and is looking for a very special family to love and a home to call his very own.
Ducky is very sweet and everyone he meets falls madly in love with him. He is a regular around EAPL and very popular, he is almost our little mascot. When he first came to us, he was having trouble keeping food down and his kneecaps were dislocated (an old injury that was never corrected). But with lots of TLC and surgery, Ducky is doing great. He just needs to eat several small meals a day that are the consistency of watered down canned dog food. He also had surgery to correct one back knee and had the other back leg amputated. Ducky gets around just fine and has no idea he has his special needs, so shhh! Don't tell him. He loves people and does great with other dogs. He is submissive in nature. He likes to chase the kitties, but will stop and we don't think he would ever hurt them. He has a couple of foster dog siblings and meets many many more pups at all of our adoption events. He loves tennis balls and he loves his fenced in yard. These will be things he will need in his new home!
Ducky is quite the little survivor and has been through more than any dog should ever have to go through in their life. But despite all of that, he is happy and sweet and playful and a "normal" loving dog. He wants a family he can belong to and that special someone to love him and give him that extra care he needs.
