Did you know the Plott Hound is the NC state dog?
I am an easy going, gentle, affectionate guy who is perfectly happy hanging out in the living room with my family. I get along fine with other dogs, cats and children. I know how to sit, shake and walk well on a leash. My foster mom is so impressed with how gentle and respectful I am with her small older resident dog and how quickly we adapted to each other. I am intelligent and would have fun working with you to expand my vocabulary and commands. My favorite thing to do is to get outdoors as I most enjoy catching scents. You will be impressed at how alert and focused I am when out on the trail. I am satisfied with short walks but also have the stamina if you are up for long hikes or walks. I am a gentleman in the house and house trained. I do not mind jumping in the car for a ride, but you may prefer to put me in a crate because if I see all the moving things I can’t help but get a little anxious and bark. For the most part I am quiet and usually only bark if I need to warn you. I like to communicate with you with grunts and little whimpers when I want something.
All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.
Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
