Spetember 30, 2016: Garan is spending the next couple of weeks at Kennelwood in St. Peters, Mo. he has been invited to attend training. When he graduates he will be an Ambassador for the Doberman Breed! Thank you Kennelwood Pet Resorts!
My foster mom has changed my name to Garan, Debbie said it was a good strong name and I seem to like it. I was picked up as a stray in Franklin County and was at the Franklin County Humane Society for almost a month and no one came to get me. So Donna from FCHS called MWDR and they came and got me.
I am a big rambunctious Dobie boy who will need some time to adjust to the rules and to learn what behavior is acceptable.
I jump around and play ROUGH with my foster sisters, and right now I am an IN YOUR FACE bundle of energy. My foster mom is being really patient with me though. I only get to be out with my foster sisters because I want to be the dominant dog, so I'm not all that compatible with other male dogs and will not be placed in a home with other male dogs, and I'm a bit to much for small dogs too. I am housebroken and will go in my crate with some coaxing. I am a good boy and take treats like I'm supposed to and I love to play with all the toys.
I will be a great Dobie boy and will need a family without small children who will continue to work with me and I would prefer a previous Dobie knowledgeable family, that will take me to training.
I will also need a securely fenced in yard because I just love to run and run and hop around.
I will need to be on Heartworm Preventative all year round, those are the rules !!!!
