lm aka Little Bean, so named as she is a tiny girl, is a quiet, sweet and calm young girl. At the tender age of 1 she weighs in at just under 5 lbs due to a heart condition, tetralogy of fallot. Though calm and quiet, she still likes to play at her own pace and knows when it is time for her to slow down and take a rest.
Bean likes to hang out with her people but is also happy to go off on her own and sleep the afternoon away in a sunbeam. She likes head scratches and back rubs throughout the day and evening but is not a needy girl. She also likes to curl up at the end of your bed for a good night's sleep.
Bean would do best in a quiet, calm home with no small children due to her condition. She has never lived without another cat in her life so would be best suited in a home with another calm and friendly cat.
Bean's heart defect will need to be monitored regularly by a vet. At this time, she does not need any medications. She will eventually develop chronic heart failure in roughly three to six years from her heart defect, but is currently healthy. Her life expectancy is roughly four to eight years.
At the moment, Bean's treatment plan involves a blood test every 6 months and a yearly recheck with the cardiologist. This plan will likely change in the future as the disease progresses and Bean requires more frequent exams and/or medication.
Bean is so sweet and will be a wonderful companion. Contact Annex Cat Rescue today to meet her.
