Please fill out an application form. DON'T fill out the email or other choices here. has the application link on the front page. If we do not receive an application your email will be deleted. Our time is spent caring for these dogs, sometimes as many as 30 - 40 dogs at a time, and you show us serious intent to adopt when you take the time to fill out the application. Thank you for your understanding.
If there is a date next to the dog's name that is the expected arrival date. EVERYTHING we know about these dogs is on their bio. Please don't email asking for more info - we don't have any.
Please bookmark the site so YOU can check on the dog's status, updates if any etc. That's where we put everything we know about them.
We do not adopt to homes with no fenced area for the dog. They are a flight risk in the early weeks and we have the same goal - a safe, happy, healthy dog.

Oct 3/16 Jedi's time in foster is over - we do 6 weeks max - so this is what they say:

Aug 8/16 Jedi is the best family dog! he loves everyone and everything and we finally got him a foster home so he isnt forgotten anymore for being such a great dog! He would be great with kids of all aged as he is gentle.
This is what the fosters say after only 2 weekz:
Jedi is with us for more than two weeks now. Since he walked into the house for the first time he fell in love with everyone here from first sight. I live with my two adults children Alex 24 and Robert 22. And of course vice versa. It's just impossible to dont love this guy. Jedi is a huge love bug.
He is always happy and ready to play. He is still big pup. He loves people, kids, dogs and try to give and receive a lots of love and attention. He greets everyone coming home with hugs and big kisses. He is great also the gusts visiting our home. No aggression at all. He is not food or his toys possessive with another dog, so if you have a dog already, Jedi would be more then happy to become friends with him. No accidents in the house unless you make him wait too long or ignore his urge to go (he would let everyone know that he needs to go by simply standing by the door and waiting for you to take him out).
He is not high energy but he needs good exercise daily. We give him at least an hour walks in the morning and evening and couple short ones during the day. He us full of energy in that he is up for anything to do but also happy just to be with you.
He would definitely benefit from being able to run in back yard or will be great company for a runner.
He sleeps all night without waking anyone. There is not much barking unless he gets excited playing or seeing another dog. What we love the most about Jedi is his friendliness, happiness.
He is a hound and that takes a little patience from ppl who have never had one. They sniff everything!. Just now he starting to react to his name and learning what "No" means. Being 2 yrs old means he is an adult but hadn't been in a home so before so needs a little training too not to chew our things . Altough he has a lots of different toys to play and chew on, he would still get his chance to chew on anything else like shoes or... my phone. He seems to be "Get It" by now but still needs work on that issue. He also still needs to learn how to walk on the leash . He is doing a bit better by now but still pulls a lot and he would try to chase anything either is a cat, squirrel... He is scared about loud noises and city traffic but now that he is exposed to things he learns fast and is more comfortable
July 17/16 As always our best dogs fall thru the cracks! If they are well behaved, play weil with others, cause no trouble we forget to write about them. This guy has been to 2 public events with us and was great.
He is medium energy, will love kids, dogs, ppl, no issue cats. Has beautiful long legs too for a runner
May 16/16 I knew this would happen. Jeb - now Jedi - is so calm and easy i would forget to update him. He came to our 6 Legged Hike fundraiser last sat with all the dogs and all the ppl - and loved up everyone esp the kids.
he is lower side of medium energy needing a good run everyday with walks as well or a serious long walk - like 1.5hr 3-4 times a week and some shorter ones and all will be well
may4.16 Jeb is a fun loving also totally loving coonhound - they are just big beagles in my eyea lol - who would be thrilled to live with kids or have visiting kids,
He has lovely long legs for a runner, i medium energy needing solid hour a day plus walks and is in the 50lb range but a little skinny there,
apr 17/16 Jeb we had to laff. Was dumped at shelter for 'refusing to hunt' lol, Means he is going to be the best family dog ever lol
no further info until they arrive

ALL our dogs are HW tested neg (HW TREATED dogs are marked as such), have full vetting paperwork and obviously get along with other dogs since there are about 40 of them here on any given day.
We do a microchip clinic the first Sunday of each month for $40 to raise money to pay the bills for the rescues but will chip on day of adoption.
The Adoption Donation you give includes spay/neuter (except puppies under 6 mos), all shots, Heartworm test, deworming/parasite by us at least once and is $500.
NOTE: Puppies too young to fix are adopted out ON A 'FOSTER TO ADOPT' BASIS ONLY UNTIL S/N COMPLETED and proof is required to have the contract changed to ownership. You are responsible for spaying or neutering at the 6 mo point.
Please, if you want to adopt a dog - we require you take up to 24 hrs 'think about it' time and when an aggreement is reached you take the dog home as within 24 hrs. We can not 'hold' adopted dogs "til the weekend" or you "are back from holidays" UNLESS you wish to make a $40/night donation to cover their stay as there are many, many other dogs dying in shelters who need that space.
For coonhounds and beagles only :
If the dog you just looked at is a Coonhound or Beagle here's a little more info - A lot of people think Coonhounds and Beagles are stupid but they're not! They are just joyous dingbats for sure but very trainable. They are funny, happy clowns. They also do NOT spend all their time howling or baying. They are extremley quiet dogs but when they let one rip everyone knows it ;-)) and the sound is beautiful! So much nicer than a high pitched yap any day.

Rude owner of the company. She is vile and is completely unprofessional in her communication. If it wasn't for the animals, I would say to never give her money.
