Pretty DSH Calico with Tortoiseshell Markings Young Female
Enya (which means "little fire") is a very pretty 1 year old DSH mostly calico with some tortoiseshell markings spayed female. She is very shy and fearful of humans. She was rescued from fending for herself with her siblings living on the streets. There were children that threw rocks at her and adults who yelled at her and chased her away so it is understandable that she lacks trust. She is listed as Special Needs because she will need someone who has time and patience to gain her trust. Once she trusts you, she enjoys pets and being played. She came to us with her siblings, who were all adopted without her. A cat who might be her mother (and also needs some help with socialization, Tootie, a petit DSH tortie) is also available at the shelter and another cat that lived on the streets with her, Tarriful, a fluffy black & white tux older kitten male is also available at the shelter. She is also very good friends with another shy young lady, Susannah (DSH brown torbie). She'd love to be adopted with one of both of them, but it is not required. She should not be around young or loud children, but would be O.K. with calm, cat friendly children who are old enough to be able to be gentle and patient with her. We don't know about dogs, but she is young enough that she might be O.K. with cat-friendly dogs with proper introduction techniques. Come meet this very pretty little girl kitty to see if you have the patient, safe, calm, loving home she needs.
