Poodle (Toy)

Greetings! My name is Ermal.
I am new to the rescue, so my foster mom is still learning about me. So far she knows I like to eat my morning breakfast of a little canned food from a fork, a ritual at her foster home. This is what my foster mom has to say about me-
Ermal loves to enjoy some loving on your lap, or next to you on the couch, or in bed. She however can be skiddish to come to you at first, as she hasn't always had a special human in her life. If you call her, or scoop her up, she just melts with petting and rubbing. She will curl right up to your chest, under you chin, and lay her head on you like a little baby. She loves it! She is just leery of how to receive the person giving it to her at first. But she is full of love. Never aggressive about it.
She does not care for a kennel, and can be vocal about it, but we have found covering the kennel a blanket can be helpful. So for this reason, she would not be a good fit for an apartment.
Ermal does well with other dogs, but does not play with them yet, and does not want to share her dog bed,...yet. But its new to her here still, so maybe some of these things will change, maybe only time will tell.
Ermal rides quietly in the car.
She has mastered the magic mess screen on my screen door, to go in and out to go potty. She likes to lay out in the grass and sun herself.
A little about her background-
Ermal was used for breeding, and her owner didn't give her much more than food, water and shelter. When they were done with her, they turned her over to a shelter, where she shook in her cage with fear from the loudness. The shelter asked if we could take her in to a foster home, to get her out of that environment. She was so scared, and just clung to the staff when they took her out. If you have a quieter home, with older, or no kids, and are willing to give her a little time to show you her true colors, you wont be disappointed.
