Hi my name is Fannie. I’m a youthful 7 year old female golden mix who is looking for her forever family. I was a surrender to the shelter cause I was escaping the back yard. I wanted to be with people not stuck in the back yard. Since I’ve been in rescue I haven’t tried to escape at all. I am very anxious until I feel safe and then I calm down and relax. It took me several weeks to feel comfortable in my foster home. Until I felt comfortable I would hide under the bed and avoid my foster parents. I have a tendency to bark at people I don’t know. Do to my fearful response to unfamiliar people, I would do best in a home with no children. I’m living with three other goldens and enjoy their company. My foster mom & dad are great, loving and patient with me. They have taken me on neighborhood walks, rides in the car and special outings. I love playing with my foster siblings and of course chasing squirrels! I am housebroken and I leave my foster’s belongings alone. I’m not crazy about toys and not really into the “fetch” game. “P” I’m very affectionate once I get to know you. I happily greet my foster parents when they come home with a wagging tail and a smile on my face! I need a special home that will work and be patient with me on my issues of meeting new people. I would love a doggie friend or I can also be the “one & only” in the home. My needs are very simple: a loving and patient family, someone home most of the time, a calm home and a secure back yard.
