Felicia was found outside an abandoned house, limping and crying. One of our amazing fosters was able to take her in. Her vet visit revealed a caustic substance on her paws, a raw chin, and a horrible flea infestation. We started her on the road to recovery when another problem was discovered, her tail was necrotic! We don't know if there was a connection to her paw issue, or if it was a trauma. The vet suspected she may have chewed on an electrical cord when she was very tiny. Her tail needed to be amputated. This poor girl has been through so much, in such a short amount of time. She's only about 4 months old as of August 9, 2016. She's grown much more loving and playful as she's started to feel better, and even found a buddy in another Safe House kitten - Jan. We'd love it if these two girls could continue to live their lives together.
