Hey everybody! My name is Floki and I am a gentle giant. I am 18 months old and weigh 75 pounds! I’m very calm and I am well behaved for a young lad.
I have not been with my foster family family very long but in a short time they learnt that I am crate and house trained. I don't enjoy going in my crate, but once I'm there, I behave (especially if you lead me to it with some peanut butter!)
I enjoy being an indoor dog, but, since I’m still a puppy, I need to let my abundant energy out often. I like to run in the yard, play with my toys (especially the squeaky ones) and with the little humans I live with (age 6 and 3).
Watch out, I’m very generous with my kisses! Being a big boy sometimes my size is intimidating but all I want is to play and be loved. My foster family and everyone who meets me say that I do not have a mean bone in my body.
I’m still learning how to let my foster family know that I want to play and sometimes like to pull on the “toy” attached to my host dad (he calls it his hand). I have been told that it is not proper and I am working on that. My next family will need to continue my training and re-enforce my good manners.
I’m a very friendly dog and am very curious about other dogs, cats and humans. However, I do get anxious when I am barked at while on walks. Other animals I meet do not bother me whether it be cats, squirrels or pigs (yes I met one and I was a total gentleman).
I know a few commands such as “sit”, “no” and am currently learning other ones. I am a quick learner because I am smart and treat motivated. When I misbehave a stern “no” and a strong stance do the trick.
Overall I think I’m the total package, and if you are dying to meet me, guess what? I am too! Just go ahead and contact legacy (LBR) or my foster family so we can make it happen. See you soon!
