Francesca is a 2-3 year old Shepherd mix, weighing around 40 pounds, who was surrendered to animal control along with 6 other dogs from the same home. A rescuer came to the animal control facility to see some of the dogs that were there & she was drawn immediately to this sweet girl. All the dogs were barking and jumping against the gate, but not Francesca. She sat patiently at the gate waiting to be petted, and then she licked the rescuer's hand. She was so calm and laid back that the rescuer took her out of the run to get to know her better.
Francesca was very affectionate and she walked nicely on a leash. She was very friendly and is used to being with dogs since she came from a home where she was with 6 others. The animal control officer said that everyone loved Francesca. When she was taken to the vet clinic to get spayed and fully vetted, the staff there also commented on her sweet and loving nature. Francesca also appears to be housebroken and we feel will be fine with children because she is so calm and gentle.
Please give this girl a chance, and fill out a application on Francesca today, she will be arriving on October 27th.
