Hi, my name is Franklin and I am about 3 years old. I was adopted as a kitten and returned to Bond County Humane Society in December 2015. My adopters were moving and could not take me with them. I lived with 2 adults and 2 children. The children were 10 years old and 1 year old. I was good with the children. I am good with other cats, but I don't know if I am good with dogs. I am very sociable, playful and like to be held and petted. My adopters said my best quality is I am very loving. I was having some urinary issues when I was returned and diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC). Signs of this syndrome are bloody urine, straining to urinate and urinating in unusual places. I am on a strict diet of cat food manufactured specifically to eliminate crystals in the urine. I have been x-rayed for bladder stones. The x-rays showed no bladder stones. The most important thing for me is to drink plenty of water. I have not had any urination problems since I have been returned. I am available for immediate adoption. My adoption fee is by donation. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohs.petfinder.com. Email the completed profile to the address provided.
