Hi, My name is Fred and I am a distinguished gentleman, or so I hear. I am crate trained and potty trained, though I have an accident from time to time. I bark a lot at noise and activity, so a very calm quiet home will be best for me, and you. I like to be pet some, but am pretty independent, and so do not like a lot of lap time or cuddle time. I am happy to rest in a dog bed and nap a lot. I do love my toys and love to grab them and shake them all around! I do get easily over stimulated, and kind of act a bit crazy with too much play or activity though. Treat puzzles, and things that stimulate my mind might be best for me, so I am learning about them in my foster home. I am a big dog in a little body when it comes to other dogs, so I'd prefer to be the only 4 legged friend in your home. I do have an enlarged heart, so this will require medication for the rest of my life, and regular check up to monitor it, but it does not slow me down, and I do not have symptoms. I like kids, but they are too active for me, and so a home with no kids would also be best. I would be okay while you are gone at work, as long as you get me out right away when you get home. If a quiet night at home with me and the tv or a good book is for you, than I might be your guy.
