Meet Free (aka Daisy)! She is a very sweet and friendly girl that is 5-7 years old. She can be quite silly and loves to give kisses! Free came into the rescue after an urgent plea by a college student that was desperate to save her! This wonderful human being saved her from a family that was giving Free away that was going to euthanize her when the last day came and no one had taken her. She was so desperate to save this dog's life that she slept in her car with Free for 3 days! She could not bring Free to her parents' condo due to the breed discrimination of the condo association. She did not have any money, no food for herself, but made sure Free was ok! Free is now safe with Happy Days and currently in a boarding facility. She now needs a foster home. Free is heartworm positive, which the rescue covers the cost of treatment. The ideal foster would have no female dogs, be able to take her to the vet for her heartworm treatment, and provide a quiet home until adoption.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
