Age: 9 months
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
This handsome fella is Cooper. He is a social butterfly - he loves to meet other people, kids, and dogs - and can be very outgoing to get the attention he desires. Cooper is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash and loves to go for car rides. He loves to play as much as he loves to snuggle! He is good at entertaining himself with toys, and he also loves to play rough with other dogs. If placed with another dog, he would be best matched with another outgoing, confident, playful dog. A quiet or timid dog would likely be overwhelmed by Cooper. With the right dogs, Cooper will play and play; he can be very vocal when trying to engage other dogs in play. Cooper will not be placed in a home with cats, as he is a little too interested in them. Cooper has lived with young children and done well with them.
Cooper is a medium to high energy dog. Daily structured exercise and stimulation is a must for Cooper, as he has an active mind and busy body. Consistent enforcement of house rules will also help build Cooper's confidence in his role in his new family and help him blossom into the good canine citizen he is meant to be. Cooper is still young and would benefit from group training classes with his new family, as this will help teach him appropriate manners and also form a lasting bond with his new humans.
Cooper will make a great pal to have around the house and on adventures , and will bring lots of fun and happiness to your life. If you would like to add Cooper to your home, fill out an application and get ready for one sweet puppy!
History: Cooper was born around December 21, 2015, and found with his six littermates dumped on the side of a Mississippi highway in a box, but you would never know that this sweet boy had such a sad start to life. Cooper found a loving home through SOS in early 2016, but due to schedule changes in his adoptive home, he is now looking for a new family.

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
