This oh-so-sweet-faced pup is Genny Citizen, one of seven puppies in the Citizen litter. They appear to be a Labrador Retriever/Feist mix about 10 weeks old. They range in weight from 8 to 10 pounds and will probably be small to medium sized adults. And every one of them is cute as a button! Being puppies they will need to be house trained, crate trained and learn to walk on a leash. We recommend all dogs, but especially puppies, have obedience training. This not only helps with socializing them with other dogs and humans, and builds up their confidence, but it can provide an opportunity to strengthen the ever-important bond between the pup and his or her human family. A fenced yard would be ideal so Genny can run and play safely, but not absolutely necessary if she is provided with other ways of getting exercise and off-leash play. Puppies take a lot of time and are a lot of work, but the more time you spend playing with your puppy and teaching them all the important things that will make them a stellar canine citizen makes it all worth it - and you and your dog will be welcomed most any place you go.
Genny is shiny black with a white marshmallow patch on her chest and a bit of it on her chin. If you love sweets (and who doesn't?) and you'd like to add Genny to your family, then fill out an application. Sweet puppy kisses and lots of snuggles are just waiting for you!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
