Meet new foster, George! He is about 8 years old & a very handsome, long haired, dapple boy. George came into DARE's care with Gracie after breeders moved out of their rental home and left them behind. His teeth were in horrible shape and he had a couple small tumors near his rear. Our wonderful DARE vets gave him a dental, neutered him, removed his tumors & brought him up-to-date on his vaccines. Now this lovable, 10 pound guy, is ready for a new home and better life! Warning: This lover-boy will steal your heart!
George is mostly deaf and his eyesight might be slightly impaired. That doesn't slow him down & he gets around just fine! George is a couch potato who loves hanging out with people. He is an adorable cuddle bug & loves to sleep on laps. George is not a big barker, but will occasionally bark to get your attention or when the rest of the pack is barking when someone is at the door.
George does well around the other dogs at his foster home & it would be great if he had another dog to keep him company. We are asking that he goes to a home without small children who frighten him. He is crate trained and also potty trained, but like any dog who is getting used to a new routine & home might have an accident if not let out timely. George walks well on a leash, but a fenced backyard would be a big plus for him. He is a very good boy when it comes to getting bathed and groomed.
George is being fostered in the Orlando area. If you think this super cute boy would be a good fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application & list George's name on it.
