George is an amazing cat. He is the nicest guy, loves petting, loves attention and loves to be held. He really is not only a fabulous survivor, but an absolute angel. Everyone who meets him totally falls for him. He gets along fine with other cats and is simply very easy going.
One would never know that he was in truly one of the most shocking cases of abuse and neglect we have ever seen (if you want to see what he looked like then, we can send you pics). We know he was a house cat who was tossed out of the house because when we went to pick him up off the street, emaciated, weighing only 5.7lbs and badly injured, a woman came up to us and said, "My baby, Jaguar!" We asked if this was her cat and she said he had been but she put him out. We asked why but she wouldn't give an answer. Further, we couldn't understand how anyone who professed to care about an animal could let him suffer on the street the way he was clearly suffering. We renamed him so he would have a new start, took him to the vet where he had to have extensive surgery and we have been caring for him ever since while he has recovered. He is finally doing quite well as you can see from his beautiful face, though his left eye and side of his face is slightly altered from what he went through.
Because of all he has been through, George now eats a particular diet to help his digestive system as he may have IBD. He is doing great on this though and now takes a little bit of steroid every other day. We hope eventually he may not need the steroid as he is doing so well on this: https://www.chewy.com/primal-chicken-salmon-formula/dp/43387
George has been neutered, microchipped, tested negative for fiv/felv, up-to-date with his vaccines and is ready for his forever home.
