From Gilly’s foster mom in Texas: When I picked her up at the shelter she wouldn’t walk a step, she was so afraid. Boy, has she come a long way since then! Now she is a very energetic girl who loves playing with my dogs & is not at all afraid of them (two of them are much bigger than she is). She also loves toys & chewing on bones. She is a busy girl!
When she was rescued, Gilly had a skin infection – it’s been treated and she looks healthy & is gaining weight now. She is great in her crate – hardly ever makes a peep while in there. She is crated while foster mom is at work and she also eats in her crate. She takes treats gently and is working on basic commands.
Foster mom is working on teaching Gilly some basic manners – she has a lot of puppy enthusiasm! She’s a smart girl – she knew her name from day one – and she spent a lot of time off leash early on because she wouldn’t walk on a leash. She’s totally housetrained and hasn’t ever had an accident. She knows how to ring the bell on the door know to let foster mom know she needs a potty break. Gilly is a sweetheart of a pup - please give her a chance!
