Between 1-2 years old
German Shepherd mix
Ginger was found about a month ago behind an elementary school in the neighborhood. It took a day or two, but someone finally enticed her in from the freezing rain with some boiled chicken.
No one in the area had a warm place for her, so I offered my home to her.She resides with two other dogs (a boy and a girl.) She seems to get along just fine with them. Ginger loves to play, chase squirrels, chew on sticks, and sun bathe when it's nice out.
Ginger enjoys a good rub, chewing on toys, peanut butter, chicken, and snuggling.
She is timid around men. She wants you to earn her trust and will then be your very best friend.
Ginger deserves a really good home and will be a sweet addition
If you're interested in possibly adopting Ginger, please go to our website (www.codysfriendsrescue.com/applications.html) and submit an Application to Adopt. It may take us a couple days to review your application and check your vet reference. After we approve your application we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet and home visit. We allow a 10-day home trial to be sure the dog is a good fit before you finalize the adoption. The adoption fee ($200, tax-deductible donation) is collected at the start of the home trial and is held until you finalize the adoption. The adoption fee covers vetting (spay/neuter and age-appropriate vaccinations) and a micro-chip.
Please note: We update our Petfinder listings regularly. If you're reading this bio, this dog is still available for adoption, and we're accepting applications.
