If you are ready for a fabulous day then meet your new loyal buddy, Gisele.
Gisele is equal parts active and loving. She would love to spend all day outside on a walk, followed by tug of war and fetch. She likes playing with plush toys too, especially pulling out all the stuffing. Gisele also enjoys relaxing by snuggling up next to you so you can shower her with lots of attention and petting. She will settle down in her own space, but prefers being near you.
Gisele is very alert and excitable. She will bark to let you know any time a person or animal (including squirrels) approaches your yard or door. She does not interact well with other dogs (leaning towards aggressive), especially on a leash. It is always best to turn the corner or cross the street when approaching another dog on a walk. Inside the house she is successful with basic commands and is quick to recognize/respect routines. She is excellent with her crate and goes in easily with a small treat prompt.
Gisele is an enthusiastic member of the family. She is smart, wants to please and has endless amount of energy and love to share. She needs a low-traffic home, preferably with an enclosed area she can run/play fetch in off leash. Gisele would be best as an only pet without interaction with other animals. It is not recommended she lives in a house with children as the comings/goings and constant stream of strangers upset her.
Within moments, Gisele will steal your heart with her beautiful face, curious looks, spirited personality and loving manner, after she greets you with a series of loud barks. Gisele has much to offer but requires a lot of patience in return. If you have the time, energy and heart to commit to this sweet, playful dog then get ready for a truly fabulous new member of your family!
And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
