Labrador Retriever

Wilmington, DE

Come to meet me in person! We plan to have (2) pups & (9) dogs at our adoption event! Saturday October 15th, 11-1 PM (End's Promptly) Concord Pike Vet Hospital 12 Beaver Valley Rd. Chadds Ford PA 19317

According to our "Meet Your Match Program" Glenda is:
Free Spirit - Intelligent, independent, confident and clever, I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. We’re partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we’ll both live happily ever after
** Be sure to watch Glenny's video below showing her playing with her foster sisters. ***
I know when you saw Glenda’s photo you said to yourself "What a beautiful dog!" and you would be right. Her photos don't even do her justice. She's so pretty & a real doll. Sweet, lovable & very playful. Being so young -- she definitely needed to learn manners but not to worry -- we do have a volunteer dog trainer who comes weekly to work with all our dogs & she'll take her thru the basics commands & walking well on-leash. She will require someone who has experience at basic dog training to keep up with her training.
As her foster Mom I really enjoy watching my rescued dogs “learn” how to play. She came from a very poor rural area of KY where dogs are left outside chained up to dog houses (if they are lucky enough to HAVE a dog house!) their whole lives. They never have a normal puppyhood so if they are fortunate enough to be rescued, they even have to learn to hugged, petted, told how they are SO pretty, fed regularly & water available whenever they need it & plenty of treats & toys – well there is a real joy that you can see in their eyes. They have to learn how to play with dogs & even toys & Glenny has excelled at both. She loves everyone humans & other dogs. She is a medium sized girl who will be around 40 lbs. full grown.
So if you are looking for a young former Kentucky Woman, who seems to be part yellow Lab, Shepherd & with a dash of Hound (she has a very odd deep baritone bark for such a small girl) who wants nothing more than to be a part of your family --- you should consider adopting her. Be sure to read our adoption requirements firs t & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply at our website. A 4 foot high fence would be acceptable for Glenda.

As with all LnF dogs, they live in a foster home with our family, guaranteed to love people with gentle & sound dispositons, get along well with other dogs, are all fully vetted with all their necessary shots, spayed, microchipped, tested for Heartworm/Lyme (negative), de-wormed, crate & house trained. Thank you for choosing to adopt!
A minimum 4 foot high fence is always mandatory – there are no exceptions to a physical fence & we do not accept any type of electric fence.
Every LnF dog lives in a foster home & have been thoroughly temperament tested to guarantee a sound disposition, loves people & is fine with other dogs. Each has been evaluated by the *ASPCA Meet Your Match Program.* Our goal is to help you adopt a dog not just by a photo -- but one that fits your lifestyle.
