Dog's Name: Grace
Estimated Breed : Beagle Mix
Approximate Age: 3 - 4 yrs
Approximate Weight: 35 lbs
Currently Living at: Loving foster home with another dog and cats
Adoption Fee: $375
Grace has a bit of at tragic story. Her owner died, and Grace and 3 of her friends, Cochran, Johnny & Nancy were found laying next to her when the authorities arrived. They were understandably scared and nervous but let the deputies remove them from the home. Grace is a real sweetie with a wonderful disposition! She is doing well in her foster home, but does not care to be crated. Fortunately she has good house manners, and does not require a crate. This baby is heartworm positive but K-9 will pay for the treatment and she'll be good as new in no time!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
