Meet the twins - Webster & Grover (ADOPTED)! You may have heard about their plight. They, along with 35 of their littermates and kitty friends, were found abandoned this summer; stuffed into a dog crate with no food/water and left to die on the side of Hwy 44 in Webster Groves (hence their names). Of the 37 kitties, Heartland ended up taking 13 of them. Most were very sick with bad upper respiratory infections and were emaciated and covered in fleas. They were also severely anemic due to the parasites, and would have most certainly died had help not arrived when it did. Both boys were thoroughly treated for their ailments and fully vetted. They have developed into handsome and healthy kitties with wonderful personalities to match. It's hard to tell them apart because they look almost identical. Webster is a bit larger than his brother and he is the more shy of the two, although he is very docile and affectionate. Grover is the more outgoing one and he's usually first to crawl into his foster mom's lap for snuggles. He is also an accomplished shoulder warmer and has even been known to jump into his foster mom's arms when he wants attention. He is quite a character and has lots of personality and charm that will immediately put you under his kitty spell. Webster is also a sweetie pie but he is shy and timid and will take some time to warm up to a new home. He is just as sweet and docile as can be and absolutely loves back and tail scratches. Whereas Grover likes to be up high, Webster prefers to be low and can often be found snoozing away in his cat house. Both boys love petting, ear/chin scratches and even tummy rubs. Like most kitties, they like to play with toys, eat canned food, and chase/wrestle with their feline friends. They are very laid-back and can usually be found sunning themselves in the window when they aren't engaging in Kitty Nascar. They love the company of other cats and must not be only kitties. They may adjust to a cat-friendly dog once they have been properly introduced. They have been neutered, microchipped, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV and current on vaccinations - DOB 4/11/14.
