Gunny is a handsome, senior lab looking for a new home to call his own. He is very friendly to people, and gets along with other dogs, but should not go to a home with cats. He is great with children, too! His foster home reports he is fun and really easy to have around. Gunny is prone to ear infections, so is looking for an owner to keep them clean and provide medication when he has a flair up. He is kennel trained, and mostly house trained, but he does have a little bit of incontinence. We recently had Gunny seen by a specialist for this issue. It appears he has been mildly incontinent his entire life due to some congenital kidney and ureter defects. He is able to hold most of his urine, but does dribble regularly. His foster home has wood floors which make clean up easy and they wash his bedding a couple times a week. There are other options to manage the mess, such as belly bands or diapers. But, considering his age, there is no treatment or surgical option for the condition itself. Gunny is in need of a retirement home that can love him unconditionally and take a little extra care of him. If you think you might be a good fit for Gunny, apply to meet him today!
