All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out.
Hank is an 8-10 year old senior beagle boy. He came to us from an overcrowded metro Atlanta shelter. He was not doing well in the shelter and had a horrible upper respiratory infection when we got him. He also has a cherry eye that was never treated and heartworms. He's had his heartworm treatment and is doing great. The cherry eye surgery was not successful, and may need to be done again by his forever family. Due to the cherry eye, Hank has dry eye and will require eye drops for the rest of his life. They're not expensive but necessary for the health of his eye. Hank is a happy little boy (only about 20lbs) who does best with other female dogs and submissive male dogs. He's also fine with cats. While technically a senior, Hank is a spunky little guy and would love daily walks with his forever family!
Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye.
