Hi friends! My name is Hank and I'm a young terrier mix around 5 months old. I weigh right around five pounds and as long as I keep my figure, I won't get any larger. I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm kind of a big deal because I have the trifecta of vital social skills- I am good with all gentle people, I'm good with all dogs that I've met, and I can peacefully coexist with cats. So if you're looking for a great, well balanced family pet that also has looks that could kill, I might be your golden ticket.
I'm not fully committed to giving up the puppy lifestyle just yet. If you choose to welcome me into your home, you should know that you might be risking a remote control or a shoe every now and again until I am a little older and wiser. Even though I'm only five pounds, I should still go to training. I've heard it said that "as a dog owner, you are obligated to take your dog to training no matter what breed or size." My english is a little rusty, so I don't even know what it means, but I think it involves cookies and cheese cubes, and those are words that I can definitely get behind and fully comprehend. All the small dogs these days are getting bullied for acting obnoxious and trying to fight dogs ten times their size while straining on the ends of their retractable leashes, but it's important to me to fit in. I don't want to be bullied, and I like my 6 foot leash, and I like big dogs too, so if you bring me into your life, please help keep me on the straight and narrow path of appropriate behavior.
I am nearly fully housetrained and my foster mom lets me roam free in the house when she leaves and I am pretty good about it. I heard that most dogs go in crates when their families leave for the day but that's not something that I have needed to do yet because of how good I am in the house. Like I mentioned earlier, my only flaw is my need to teeth but if you offer me a nice variety of toys and chews and make sure to put away anything that you don't want to have tiny tooth marks on, I promise that I will try my hardest to keep behaving better and better each day.
If you think that a happy go lucky guy like me is the perfect fit for you, please apply to adopt me at www.powerofthepaw.org. You can also help me out by sharing me far and wide so that the perfect furever famiy might see my photo and story and fall in love. Thank you for checking me out and making adopted your favorite breed of dog!
