Hans wandered up to an apartment in horrible condition! A young man contacted a friend who knew one of our volunteers who immeadiately took him to a vet. It was discovered that he had a broken jaw and a mouth full of rotten teeth. This poor senior baby has a number of medical problems and is just being vetted right now. He's a very sweet boy who is very happy in his new Foster home. He's glad to be off the streets and in the comfort of a safe and loving home,

12/21/15 UPDATE...Hans is an extremely affectionate little old man, whose greatest desire is to be in your lap or by your side, preferably with you petting him. He is happy to just curl up and sleep and doesn't have much interest in playing. He also makes a great little shadow, following you from room to room. For the most part he is almost silent, unless he's telling you how excited he is that you're home. He is affectionate and tolerant of all the other dogs in the household (two male Dachshunds and one female pitbull) and is happy to curl up with them on the couch or in the kennel. He seems to be mostly house trained except for a few accidents right after eating when I didn't get him outside quickly enough. He is not a fan of being in the kennel by himself but is fine with other dogs (I keep him in the kitchen via baby gate and he never complains). He loves sleeping under the covers in the bed but will tolerate a bed on the floor.
