Harlie is doing well in her foster home. She is able to run and climb stairs with no trouble. Harlie is able to hold her bladder overnight and will use a piddle pad or go outside. Because of her previous injury Harlie has low muscle tone in her rear end and she is not able to control her bowels. Her foster mom states she will stand from a nap and the poop falls out. Unfortunately for Harlie this will never change. Harlie is happy and playful and would do well in a home with an experienced dog person that understands that she will never be fully housetrained.
Harlie is a sweet, adorable 8 pound yorkie girl who has a LOT of that wonderful yorkie-tude! Harlie suffered back trauma and was paralyzed. Thanks to her first rescuer, she now can walk! Harlie can potty on her own, but needs to go out frequently because it's sometimes hard for her to hold it when her bladder gets full. She will bark to let you know she needs to go outside. Harlie is very conscious of being touched on her back end, and if startled, will react with growling and mouthing. Harlies only special need is a family that will love her and understand her. She should not be around young children especially toddlers, but older respectful kids who will understand her sensitivity would be great.
