Havoc is a high-energy, super smart, extremely playful boy. He gets along well with other dogs although he can sometimes play roughly and will need either other dogs that match his play energy or will require supervision and some training about proper play behavior (he does respect the alpha dog in his foster home and does not try to play roughly with her). He has been fostered in a home that has cats and although he likes to playfully chase the cats from time to time, he is not at all aggressive toward them and has learned that the cats are in charge. Havoc knows his "sit" command very well and has excellent mealtime manners and knows to sit and wait for permission to approach his bowl. He likes to play fetch (although he is somewhat unreliable on the return because he is easily distracted by anything else that looks like fun) and adores squeaky toys, nylabones and is especially fond of playing with tug toys with one of his GSD foster siblings. Havoc is crate trained and is doing well with his housebreaking (although still will have the occasional accident) and knows his "go potty" command outside extremely well. He is a bit "mouthy" and is working on his "no bite" command but is still learning, so a home with very small children may not be the best home for Havoc. He does extremely well on car rides and calms almost immediately when placed in the car. Havoc would thrive in a home where he can learn to be a running partner or get lots of daily exercise. He is a wonderfully sweet boy but will require a family committed to channeling his high energy and strong will into positive activities. He is being fostered in Snow Camp, NC. If you are in NC, VA, or MD please put in an application or contact your coordinator.
Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact email@example.com .
