Helga is a very big love bug. She just went through a very bad eye infection that appeared to be caused accidentally by rough housing with her siblings. She had a small tear at the outer corner of her eye which was compounded by an upper respiratory infection. This sweet girl let me put warm compresses on her eye, apply eye drops several times a day, and administer antibiotics twice a day with barely any fuss. The most amazing thing was that after each medication ordeal she would stand in my lap, reaching up around my neck with her little arms to be cuddled and held. Who wouldn’t fall in love with such a sweetie? To top that off, her brother Eugene was always close at hand to give her kisses while she was being fussed over and medicated. I am so happy that she is 100% healthy now!
She loves playing fetch with her whiffle ball and will bring the ball back again and again! She also likes to leave her whiffle ball in her water bowl for later.
She and her brother Eugene are very bonded. They sleep together, and play together constantly. Inevitably, when one gets in your lap for lovies, the other is not far behind. They quite often can be found cleaning and grooming and kissing each other. Double the Love!
Gets along well with other kitties.
