Hi, I’m Honeybun. I got lost from my family and could never find them. Luckily LPDR took me into their family and are taking great care of me. The vet told me I am between 9 and 10 years old. He also said I am blind but otherwise healthy. I adapt so well that my foster mom had no idea I was blind...shows how smart I am! I like all the people I have met since I have been at LPDR. My favorite thing to do is nap in my foster daddy’s lap. I dance when I hear my foster dad or mom's voice. I am also a huge fan of head scratching and will remind you it's time by nudging your hand...told you I'm smart! If I am taken out on a schedule, then I am good about doing my business outside. Love sleeping in the big bed and can negotiate it with no problems even though I can't see. I am a loooooong dog and weigh in at a svelte 17lbs. I eat just enough to keep myself in tip top shape and don't mind if my foster siblings eat my leftovers. All in all, I am a good girl and would make you, you know who you are, a great friend!
Fill out an adoption application http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 Adoption Fee: $200.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. This $135 fee is non- refundable if the dog is returned to the rescue. TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
