Hoop has become an entirely different dog since entering her foster home. She no longer hides in the bushes or curls up in the corner. She has made herself quite at home! She plays just like a 6 month old puppy should play. She can be a little rough on the little dogs, but takes the big boys on like a champ. She is a cuddler and would prefer to have the lap to herself. She will also follow you everywhere you go. She is a smart girl and even learned to use the doggie door on her own. Provided the doggie door is open, she does not have accidents. She loves to chew on toys and bones, but she needs to be watched as she also likes to swallow some of it; She is still adjusting to the environment away from her house and yard. She has gone to some events and does better at the outdoor events then the indoor. I don't blame her. I feel the same! She is an awesome, lovable dog that needs a little understanding when she makes the transition to a new home
Hoop is doing her best to settle into her foster home. She has endured a great deal of change in her life so far. At first she hid at the back of her crate, but her furry foster brother pulled her out to show her life is better outside of that box. He is teaching her "how to dog" as it appears she never learned Now she will come out on her own and follow him outside. She has also stopped hiding in the corner and has now claimed the couch as her spot. She has gone for one walk with her foster brother, but stuck close to his side when she heard a noise or a car passed by.
Despite the fear, she is making progress and will be a great companion. She loves being pet, especially belly rubs. She also gave her foster mom her first kiss! She loves to eat, but insists it has to be in her safe space on the couch. Not a big deal, shes a very neat eater. She cries for a minute or so when she is placed in her crate for the night, but settles and sleeps all night long. She has not pottied in the house, but she has open access at all times to go outside. She has not met any children yet. We wanted to give her some time to settle in first.
Hoop is just a sweet, tiny little girl who showed up at a shelter in South Carolina as a stray. No one came looking for this brindle beauty, so she is making her way to PA. She's just a youngin, so she'll need a refresher and potty training and she loves to play with other dogs. Maybe she is just the girl you are looking for??
