Hope’s Current Update (10/13/2016):
Hope is doing FANTASTIC! She has received heartworm treatment, put on some weight and is beginning to relearn the basics as she got a little rusty during her heartworm treatment (strict crate rest for 2 months). She is a lovely lady who just wants to be with her people and would make a fantastic family dog. She does do well with male submissive dogs and she will soon be cat tested!
Hope has been through SOOOOO much. She made sure her babies thrived and went on to loving furever homes. She survived heartworm treatment and now she deserves a home and a family of her very own.
Please share her story and if she sounds like the right fit for your family, please consider giving her a home!

Hope's Rescue Story
We always wish our dogs could talk to us, but sometimes, as in the case of Hope - we think her tale would be too horrible to handle. Coming to us with her 8 little babies is Hope - she is a pit mix around 4 years old and a walking skeleton isn't even close to explaining her condition. You can see every bone in her body, the only protrusions are the horrible pressure sores on her. She has not one drop of fat, muscle - nothing extra to her but pure skin and bones. How she is able to care for her pups is beyond us. To top it off - she is heart worm positive. Heartworm is preventable - the fact that someone just cared so little for her to let her get in the condition and contract this is unimaginable. She is SAFE with a PA foster home, she will be getting the medical care she so desperately needs and the many small meals she needs to help her gain the weight she needs just to survive.
