Well hello everyone, my name is Hope Ann, or you can even call me Hope. I enjoy being around and interacting with men, women, and older children. In my previous house I began to snap at younger children, so if I go to a home with children, it would have to be a home with children no younger than a teenager. I don't sit still for long periods of time, because I like to see and know what is going on and what everyone is up to. I absolutely love to be petted, and while you're petting me, I'll even turn so you can rub my butt, which is my favorite place to be petted. However, I don't like my paws to be touched or messed with. In my past, I spent most of my time indoors, and I would really like to be an inside dog in my next home as well. I do still have accidents in the house every once in a while, but if you keep turning me out on a regular basis that might help solve the problem. Another habit that I seem to have is that I like to get into the trash and eat it, so you might have to buy a trash can that has a lid, or possibly even keep the trash can hidden. Speaking of eating, I am on the large side, and will eat anything that smells yummy; however, you'll have to refrain from giving me too many treats or human food, because I really need to go on a diet. Even though I'm an older gal, I still have a playful side. In fact, some of my favorite toys to play with are ropes, stuffed toys, balls, laser lights, and squeaky toys. In my past, I lived with both cats and dogs. For the most part I was friendly and playful with the other dogs, and when I meet another dog here at the shelter I did pretty well with him as well. When it came to the cats, I did well with the adult cats, but ended up hurting the kittens. I know that I'm no spring chicken, but I know that I can bring your life just as much happiness and love.
