I am Hunter; an 80 lb, 4 year old, neutered male. I am already housebroken and do not need to be crated. I’m such a gentleman that I can be left home alone while people go to work without worry. I won’t even get on the furniture! I am good with both men and women, but have no experience with young kids. I am a true Velcro dog and just want to be near my people at all times...even it is just following them from room to room as they do chores!
I am still working on my canine socialization skills. I do live with other dogs now and could live with canine siblings provided we are introduced slowly. I prefer laid back, gentle dogs as the high energy dogs still make me nervous. I am fine with my foster cat.
I love treats and get excited for my daily training sessions. So far I know sit, lay down, and leave it. I even walk well on a leash now! I am, however, still learning not to grab snacks from low counters. The temptation is just so strong after I discovered how much I like bananas, apples and tomatoes!
My favorite pastimes: going for walks, going places in the car that are dog friendly, getting belly rubs, hanging out with my people, hanging out with familiar dogs and cats of the house, naps, and doing tricks for treats. I am so eager to please.
I really just want to be loved unconditionally. All in all, I am a fantastic boy who is clearly just happy to be alive! All I need now is to find a family of my own. Could it be yours?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
