Hurley

Pit Bull Terrier

Large  |  Male

Costa Mesa, CA

Hurley is a 4 year old neutered male blue American Pit Bull Terrier who loves to play fetch! Hurley has a long history with Stella's Hope as he was first adopted as an 8 week old puppy. He was returned by his family after several years. He has become over protective of their family. He went to Doggy Hydeaway and after several rounds of antibiotics and vet visits, they discovered he had allergies and was reacting out of pain. They found a vitamin supplement that has successfully kept his allergies under control for over 6 months and he has blossomed!

He is a medium to high energy boy who will fetch till he drops, and also loves to take long walks, or run along side a bike or go jogging with his human. He is extremely loyal to his family but Hurley will require plenty of exercise to keep him balanced, as well as strong leadership from his human(s). He is crate trained, walks wonderfully on leash, and as long as his human is the leader, he is a willing follower. If the human does not provide proper leadership, Hurley will assume the role and guard to protect his human. He is very friendly with all humans but would be best around older teenagers rather than small children. Not sure about cats.
