My name is Irma and I am just about as perfect as a dog can get. I am a mere 11 years old but don't let that number scare you. I have lots of energy and play left in me. My foster mom says I really enjoy trips to the dog park and even take a swim with the other dogs. I am clearly past the puppy phase so no concerns about potty training and I don't need one of those crate thingies. I am awesome with all people, love other dogs and don't even mind cats. I also love treats and to chew on antlers. I was adopted from a shelter when I was just a year old and sadly my prior owner neglected me pretty badly so I have scars on my thighs from laying on hot concrete during the extreme weather, I was just skin and bones when found and had those nasty heart worms. But I am still as sweet as pumpkin pie and am now finally healthy and ready to find a home that loves me for the rest of my life. I would be a great dog for an active retired family or a younger family that has kiddos. My foster mom says I have no behavior issues other then if given the chance I can slip out of the front door and run pretty dang fast so you have to keep your eyes on me. I don't try to get out but if the opportunity arises I may take it.
