Meet sweet-spirited Italia (called Bella by her foster family)! This two-year old lovely lab mix was rescued with her 4 babies, and after being an excellent mama and having her sweet pups all adopted, she is ready for a home of her own. Italia is great with other dogs and she loves playing with her doggy (German Shepherd) sister. This housebroken, brown-eyed, affectionate girl is very sweet with her people, and she can't wait to show you her love. She is crate trained during the day when her foster family is at work and doing very well. Italia loves playing in the yard, sunbathing, and investigating the small creatures she finds. She likes to watch out the window for other dogs but does not bark. Italia likes belly rubs and playing with her rope toy (which she will throw to herself when her people won't do it for her). She would love to go for runs with you - she is great on a leash. This sweetheart has a nice recall. Italia can't wait to find the perfect family! Italia has a ton of love to give to her people and a tail you can hear wagging from the other room. Her answer to "who's a good dog" is a wagging of her tail that can be heard throughout the house and an offering of her belly for a rewarding rub. She will cuddle with you on the couch, or on the floor if it's not beneath your dignity, and is more than willing to lick up food dropped on the floor by careless cooks. She is a strong dog so we recommend families with older children, and who have experience integrating a new pet into their home. Adopt this dog now and she will love you for the rest of her life, as long as you don't forget to rub her belly. If you are interested in meeting Italia, filling out an adoption application on our website is your first step.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping. For more information on the adoption donation and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.labsandmore.org and click on "Adopt." You will find our online adoption application there as well. Once you are approved to adopt, we will discuss how to meet our available dogs. Our dogs are NOT housed at our mailing address. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Thank you for reaching out to rescue a dog in need of hope!
