DOB: 7/14 Weight: 33 lbs
Jacob is such a fun loving little boy! He loves to chase a ball, can't get enough of you scratching his ears or rubbing his belly, and is a great companion. He loves to ride in the car and enjoys looking out the window watching for that occasional squirrel. As a Shar Pei, (his breed originated as guard dogs) he can be protective of his owners and his territory. They are very loyal and affectionate companions, but it takes some time for him to warm up to new people. We suggest only older respectful kids. He does fine with most other dogs, but seems to be a bit too interested in small animals, so probably would not do well with cats or small dogs. He would love an active home with lots of playtime. He is completely house trained & crate trained. He does not try to get out of a 4 ft chain link fence and respects a baby gate. He is quiet and sleeps through the night. He doesn't chew on things he's not supposed to. He just needs patience at the beginning so that he has time to adjust to a new situation and he will be a great addition to the family. Jacob is a great dog!
Jacob has had a rabies shot, 7-way shot, bordetella and been wormed. He is neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He came to the shelter 7/16.
Our adoption fee is $130.00 and it helps to cover a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview.
