Gemma is an EXTREMELY SHY/SCARED girl right now and needs to learn no one is going to hurt her. While we are not sure exactly what her background is, we know that it isn’t good. Gemma is currently in a foster home working on her fear issues and should be ready to go to a new home in the middle to late September. She will need a quiet home with people willing to help her succeed. Due to her fear issues, she will NOT be adopted to a home with children. She requires an experienced, dog savvy person who is willing to be patient with her as she adjusts to her new home. We're looking for a home with a fence as we're concerned of flight risk with her fears and not coming back. Another dog in the home would probably help her adjust sooner.
Gemma is 1 1/2 to 2 years old and healthy weight should be about 35-40 lbs. She is probably some kind of spaniel and maybe a flat coated retriever mixed in.
We are also asking that only people completely committed to her apply. If interested in helping Gemma along her long journey, please call Peggy @ 440-984-7014 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
