Hi, my name is JAXOM and I would love to meet you. I am a Male Domestic Shorthair. The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old. I have been at the shelter since Sep 01, 2016.
This is Jaxom`s story...
Jaxom came to the shelter and was considered a `Socially Challenged` kitten. He had little to no contact with humans before he arrived at the shelter and was difficult to handle, would hiss and lay his ears flat when anyone tried to touch him. Jaxom was placed in a foster home to build up his trust with people. Over the past month he has come a long way and is now a loving, sweet, adorable, almost social kitten.
If you are interested in Jaxom, please read below before contacting his foster mom.
Jaxom should go to a home that already has a young (9month-4year) social neutered male cat. He absolutely ADORES his foster brother, he is his little shadow and follows him everywhere, literally, everywhere. It would break his heart not to have a feline companion in his new home. A young spayed female could work, but a young netuered male is preferable.
Jaxom will not do well in a home with children, an adult only home would be the best situation for him as he is a mellow, yet easily spooked little boy that does not like it when the home has a lot of activity going on. He has had no experience with dogs, and as such should not go to a home with dogs.
Thank you for taking the time to read his information, and if you would like to see more photos of him with his foster brother, or are interested in more information about Jaxom, please email AlexR@thehumanesociety.org
I nice organization.
